My favourite area within graphic design is graphic prop-making and title sequences. I developed an interest for design in film during the final years of my course at Edinburgh College of Art, where I was tasked with creating a logomark for some film students. This brief opened up a new design direction that went hand in hand with my existing love for films.
I also love musicals and anything with a good soundtrack. My favourite film is Singin’ In the Rain and I always have Hans Zimmer or John Powell circling in my playlists.
I think it’s really special to see graphic design within film as its often overlooked as an essential part in visual storytelling. I want my work to inspire and entertain others just like movies already do for me!
